Jo Koy, Bradley Cooper more bring family members as dates to Golden Globes: See photos

While the Golden Globes ceremony certainly is a place to flex fabulous fashions and hot dates, for many stars they're a chance to celebrate family.
A number of stars brought parents, siblings or children to the Beverly Hills Hilton Sunday night, sharing what they hoped would be a special night.
The Globes are back with new owners after the original organization that produced the awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, was brought to task for its lack of diversity. In recent years, some stars boycotted the awards and returned their statues.
This year saw many top celebrities return to the Globes. Among the celebrities showing off their kin:
Jo Koy
Golden Globes host Jo Koy has spent the past few weeks frantically preparing for his hosting stint, the first for an Asian-American.
On the carpet Sunday, he told Variety's Marc Malkin that he brought his sister and his nephew, although his nephew was so awed by the event that he was "upstairs" relaxing.
Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon brought her son Deacon Phillippe as her date to the awards, giving the New York University an exciting break from his studies.
"This is my first Golden Globes and really my first awards show," Deacon told People magazine. His mom's tips for the show? "There's two main things: gum, hand sanitizer and be nice to everyone," he said.
Brie Larson
Actress Brie Larson brought along her mother, Heather Desaulniers. Larson is nominated for her work in the series "Lessons in Chemistry."
Larson also brought her son along to other recent events celebrating the best of the best in movies and TV, including the Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios awards season celebration at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper turned up at the Golden Globes with his mother, Gloria Campano. Cooper was nominated in two categories, best actor and director, for his work on the film "Maestro" about conductor Leonard Bernstein.
Charles Melton
"May December" actor Charles Melton brought along his mom, Sukyong Melton. Melton is a featured player in "Riverdale," and is nominated as best supporting actor for the film, which is also up for best comedy/musical.
